BIO
Adèle Chavy, a.k.a Nuolia, is a French composer and producer whose work blend orchestral writing, electronic textures, and traditional features from world music. Her style is mostly inspired by Joe Hisaishi, Yu-Peng Chen, Yuki Kajiura and Tchaikovsky. She is also very familiar with city-pop, trot and kawaii music.
Born in 2000, she began studying music at the age of 5 with piano and violin lessons before joining the Maîtrise of the Lyon Opera in 2006, where she trained in singing and performing arts until 2018 (The Queen of Spades by Tchaikovsky, Carmen by Bizet, The Magic Flute by Mozart…). After graduating in a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology in 2021, she got admitted to the composition for screen class at the Annecy Regional Conservatory (CRR). In 2023, she created a multidisciplinary show titled "La Dernière Impératrice" ('The Last Empress'), before obtaining her diploma in violin and music writing. She is currently pursuing her studies in composition for screen at the CNSMD of Lyon as part of the InMICS Master’s program (International Master in Composition for Screen). She composed music for several student short films, including As The Sun Goes Down (ESMA 2023), which won the 3rd Jury Prize, and she participated in the film scoring masterclass led by Pablo Pico at the 2024 edition of the MCM (Musique & Cinéma Marseille) festival.
